Overwatch sensitivity converter
Type your Overwatch sensitivity and mouse DPI to see how far your mouse travels for a full turn, what that number is in Valorant, CS2, Apex and Deadlock, and what to set after a DPI change. Or flip it: pick the cm/360 you want and get the Overwatch number.

Middle · a 180° turn is 16.5 cm of mouse travel

Set Overwatch to 2.63
Hipfire only. Overwatch yaw 0.0066° per count. Turn off Windows "Enhance pointer precision" so the mouse distance stays the same at any speed.
The math behind it
Overwatch turns your view 0.0066° for every mouse count at sensitivity 1. Your mouse sends DPI counts per inch, so:
cm/360 = 914.4 ÷ (DPI × sensitivity × 0.0066)
eDPI = DPI × sensitivity
other game = Overwatch sens × 0.0066 ÷ that game's yaw
Valorant uses 0.07, and CS2, Apex Legends and Deadlock all use 0.022. That is why Overwatch numbers look so big: one CS2 point equals 3.33 Overwatch points. Blizzard has never published the 0.0066 figure, but it is the value every converter uses and it holds up in a 360 turn test.
What I run
I play Zarya at 3.5 sensitivity and 1200 DPI on a Logitech PRO 2 LIGHTSPEED, which is 32.99 cm/360 and 4,200 eDPI. That sits in the middle band on purpose. Zarya is a beam tank, so most of my aim is tracking, and I still need to turn around fast when a Tracer or Genji jumps the backline. A 180 at that speed is about 16.5 cm, which fits on a normal 45 cm pad with room left for a correction.
If you are coming from another shooter, start from your converted number, play a few days without touching it, then adjust in small steps. Jumping between wildly different numbers every session is the fastest way to never build muscle memory. My sensitivity finding method walks through how I narrow it down.
Scoped heroes
Scoped heroes like Widowmaker, Ana and Ashe use "Relative Aim Sensitivity While Zoomed", a percent of your normal sensitivity. The game defaults are 30% for Widowmaker and Ana and 60% for Ashe. Community measurements put the value that makes the crosshair area feel like hipfire (at 103 FOV) at about 37.89% for Widowmaker and Ana and 51.47% for Ashe. Blizzard doesn't publish these, so treat them as a starting point and test in the practice range.
| Hero | Default | Hipfire-match value (community measured) |
|---|---|---|
| Widowmaker | 30% | 37.89% |
| Ana | 30% | 37.89% |
| Ashe | 60% | 51.47% |
Before you trust any number
- Turn off "Enhance pointer precision" in Windows mouse settings, or the same swipe turns you a different amount depending on speed.
- Check your real DPI in your mouse software. A mouse on a different DPI stage than you think breaks every conversion.
- Check per-hero overrides. Overwatch can store a separate sensitivity per hero, so your Zarya and your Widow may not match your general setting.
- FOV changes how fast things look, not how far you turn. Keep it at 103 if you are comparing with other players. Other FOV math is on the FOV converter.
Common questions
How do I calculate my Overwatch cm/360?
cm/360 = 914.4 ÷ (DPI × sensitivity × 0.0066). At 800 DPI and sensitivity 5 that is 34.64 cm for a full turn. At 1200 DPI and 3.5 it is 32.99 cm.
What is a good Overwatch sensitivity?
There is no single right number, but most competitive players land somewhere around 20 to 40 cm/360. At 800 DPI that is roughly Overwatch 4.3 to 8.7. Pick the speed where you can both track a strafing target and turn 180° without lifting the mouse twice.
How do I convert Overwatch sensitivity to Valorant or CS2?
At the same DPI, Valorant = Overwatch × 0.0943 and CS2 = Overwatch × 0.3. So Overwatch 5 is Valorant 0.471 and CS2 1.5. The calculator above does all of them at once.
I changed my DPI. What should my new Overwatch sensitivity be?
Keep eDPI the same: new sensitivity = old sensitivity × old DPI ÷ new DPI. Going from 3.5 at 1200 DPI to 1600 DPI means setting 2.63.
Does this change my Widowmaker or Ashe scoped sensitivity?
No. Scoped heroes use a separate "Relative Aim Sensitivity While Zoomed" percent on top of your normal sensitivity. Change your hipfire number here, and the scoped feel follows it at the same percent.
Did Overwatch sensitivity change after the original game?
Yes. The scale (0.0066° per mouse count per sensitivity point) carried over, so a sensitivity from the original game gives the same turn today.
