30 seconds. APM = actions ÷ seconds × 60. Held-key auto-repeat does not count. On a phone, each tap counts as one action.

Common questions
What counts as an action in an APM test?
Every new key press or tap on the pad counts as one action. Holding a key down doesn't add extra actions, so you can't cheat by leaning on a key.
How is APM calculated?
APM is your actions in 30 seconds multiplied by 2, giving actions per minute. The score out of 100 maps 300 APM to a perfect 100.
Is this the same as APM in WoW or StarCraft?
Not exactly. In-game APM meters count abilities or commands during real gameplay, while this test counts raw key presses in your browser. It's a fun way to measure how fast your hands are, not a measure of in-game skill.
Can I take the APM test on my phone?
Yes. Just tap the pad instead of pressing keys. The formula is the same, but tapping is a different skill, so don't compare it directly with keyboard scores.
