Announcement
WoW Forever adds a Roleplay-PvP ruleset
Source: WoW Forums — The Roleplay-PvP Ruleset is Coming to WoW Forever
This is an announcement. Aggrend posted it on the official WoW forums on 22 October 2026. The same day, Blizzard updated the Choose Your Ruleset article. It is not a PTR rumor.
Roleplay-PvP is coming to World of Warcraft: Forever at launch on 4 November. It joins the launch rulesets already named on that article: Normal, PvP, and Roleplaying. Hardcore is still listed as arriving sometime after launch.
Blizzard is working to let you pick Roleplay-PvP during Early Name Reservation, which starts Tuesday 27 October and runs through 3 November. Eligible pre-purchasers can reserve up to three character names across all rulesets. Roleplay-PvP in that window is a plan, not a promise that the dropdown is ready on the 27th.
That is the PvP choice that matters. Forever rulesets are separate spaces. You cannot move a character from PvP or Roleplaying into Roleplay-PvP; you make a new one. You cannot group, dungeon, or raid across rulesets. Battlegrounds may mix rulesets, except Hardcore. If you wanted a roleplay community and a PvP ruleset in one place, this is the launch option. A name reserved on plain PvP or Roleplaying will not let you group with Roleplay-PvP players later.
The Evoker PvP guide is the Blitz build I play on Midnight. The WoW guides and the PvP section are the rest of those pages. Best WoW PvP addons is the combat UI cut. The 12.1.5 live post is the current retail update, not Forever.
