Minecraft farm rate calculator

Items per hour = (items in a cycle ÷ seconds for that cycle) × 3600. Stand by your chest, count what lands in one cycle, and type it in. If the wiki lists a rate for your block, you can enter that too. For random loot like mob drops, time a longer run so one lucky drop doesn't skew your number.

Per minute

12.00

Per hour

720.0

items/hour = (items per cycle ÷ seconds per cycle) × 3600. Type a count you timed and get items per hour.

The scale-up

per second = items / seconds
per minute = per second × 60
per hour = per second × 3600

A world that stalls on a huge farm is a tick problem first. The server hosting page says that. Convert the clock to ticks on the redstone tick calculator if you built the cycle in repeaters.

Common questions

Why doesn't the farm calculator include drop rates?

Because drop rates change between Minecraft versions. For accurate results, enter the items you actually collected over a timed cycle, or use the rate listed on the Minecraft Wiki for your version.

How do you calculate Minecraft farm rates?

Items per hour equals items per cycle divided by seconds per cycle, multiplied by 3600. Divide that by 60 for items per minute.

How long should I time my Minecraft farm?

At least a minute or two. Drops are random, so a single cycle can be misleading. Count everything over a longer period and enter that total with the time.

Does the farm rate include hopper speed?

Only if your timed cycle already includes the hoppers moving items. Measure the whole system together instead of mixing a wiki drop rate with a guessed hopper speed.

Can I enter redstone ticks instead of seconds?

Convert them first. At 20 ticks per second, divide your ticks by 20 to get seconds, or use our redstone tick calculator.

The pack I actually run is Create Aeronautics.
