Overwatch October 13 hotfix: Doctrine and Sombra nerfs, Roadhog buffs
Source: Overwatch — Patch Notes (October 13, 2026 hotfix)
Blizzard’s 13 October hotfix tones down Doctrine and Support Sombra and gives Roadhog some of his old strength back.
Doctrine. Eternal Scepter damage and healing drop from 60 to 55. Invigorating Drones last 5 seconds instead of 6.
Sombra. Machine Pistol damage drops from 7 to 6.5. Cyberspace explosion damage drops from 40 to 20, and the cooldown goes from 12 to 13 seconds.
Roadhog. The Scrap Gun center projectile goes from 34 to 40 damage. Take a Breather cooldown drops from 2 to 1.25 seconds, damage reduction goes from 35% to 40%, and max duration goes from 2 to 2.5 seconds.
Kiriko base health goes from 225 to 250. D.Mon base armor goes from 275 to 250.
That is a live balance pass on Season 5: A Grim Doctrine. Doctrine and Support Sombra lose some of the output they shipped with on 6 October. Roadhog gets back some of the self-sustain and center-shot damage the rework took away. Kiriko is harder to burst; D.Mon is easier. If you queue tank or support, how the roles differ is the job. The same official notes say replay codes from the 6 October patch were still available after this hotfix. A later 20 October 2026 note is a bug-fix update: replay codes wiped, the “Not so Thankless” Sombra thank challenge, and DualSense on PC.
